Safe Biking Event
“Safe Biking” is a program that we have developed as a full day event addressed to kids between the age of 7 to 12 and during which they will learn how to shift to biking.
For this purpose, we came out with different workshops covering topics like:
-
urban bike riding
-
dangers of the road
-
safety & road assistance
-
bicycle maintenance
We want to promote the use of bikes and raise awareness. The government is already taking measures to increase the number of bike users and we're here to help as well.
Bikes are a sustainable alternative to cars and should be used if we want to protect our planet. The event has a great scope to reach many kids and students across the nation and more specifically across France.
The event will take place in “Ecole Saint-Eloi” in Roubaix, Lille, France on the 2nd of April 2020.
Extra activities
A circuit for students on their bikes where they will be exposed to different urban biking situations and we will see their reactions. The goal of this is to see how students react to the situations. We want this to be in the continuity of the visualization exercise.
Students visualize different situations that they can be exposed to while biking. We see with them how to assess these situations and how we should react to them.
A card game with English words linked to the themes of the biking and safety where students will partner up and ask questions to each other to test themselves.
